Agape Photography....And What It's About.
Agape Photography was established on May 20th, 2010, by 16 year old Alexandria Cordy. Alexandria, known by her family and friends as Allie, has been taking photos since she was around 10 or 11, when her parents let her use their camera to goof off with, and soon realized the photos she took had some potential, having no experience before this. She then began taking photos whenever she could, and entered a few in the local county fair. Her first year entering, at age 11 or 12, she got a first place. Her second year, another first. She has since gotten several 1st, 2nds, a couple 3rds, and a few Honorable Mentions, and continues to enter several photos every summer.
She then became even more serious about her photography, and bought a cheap 5mp point and shoot, which served her well until she bought a much better one when she was 14. She is currently saving up for her first DSLR.
When Allie graduates high school in two years, she hopes to go to Owens college to get a degree in photography and from there, open her own professional studio. But until then, she continues her passion as just a hobby, doing photoshoots for friends and family here and there, occasionally getting paid. Never leaving the house without her camera, she has been able to get many unique photos very spur of the moment, which are most of her favorite shots.
Allie got the name "Agape Photography" from the Greek word Agape, which means "out of Christian love". Being a Christian, she wants to devote her passion to her Lord, and figured the name fits. umm...not really much of a story haha...i was at the park after it rained, and yeah...
One day me and my mom were shopping, and I saw this really awesome old-looking car, and I had just enough battery left in my camera to take a couple shots, and they turned out pretty nifty I think :)
